SAFETY

Feeling safe is fundamental to our quality of life. Safe in your home, safe in your community.

Reverse Sanctuary County policies and practices

In 2018, The Democrat dominated Westchester County Legislature, enacted “The Immigrant Protection Act”. This Act significantly restricts Local Law Enforcement cooperation with Immigration Authorities. The Act does not recognize illegal entry into the USA (or Westchester), as a crime, and lays out circumstances when illegal immigrants will NOT be turned over to Immigration Authorities, even when presented with an ICE warrant. Instead, illegal immigrants will be released back into the community.

We need to protect the safety of Westchester residents, nullify “The Immigrant Protection Act,” and support full, lawful cooperation with all agencies working to enforce US immigration laws. This will also eliminate the risk of losing Federal funding due to these Sanctuary policies and directives.

The Legislature isn’t solving problems – they are creating them!

  • Support Our Police and First Responders

  • Ensure a robust recruitment pipeline

  • Upgrade technology and invest in training for Corrections Officers

AFFORDABILITY

Out-of-control County spending, up 36% in the last 7 years, high sales taxes and skyrocketing energy bills are making living in Westchester - unaffordable and out of reach for many.

My wife says that the people in government have no respect for our hard-earned money.

If elected, I will:

  • Call for an independent audit of the County budget to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse, and roll back programs that don’t have direct impact on Westchester citizens.

  • Reduce Energy Bills

    • Combat Con Ed proposed excessive price increases

    • Review bulk energy purchasing performance of Westchester Power

Background: Westchester Power, which buys 100% renewable energy, (often at higher prices), became "the default," electricity supplier for many residents in 29  municipalities, in 2016.  The purpose was NOT to lower energy costs, but to increase the use of renewable energy.

Residents were auto-enrolled, (and still are), if they did not actively select another provider.

  • Educate Westchester residents who may not realize they were assigned and paying higher prices as a result.

  • Help residents manage costs by discontinuing auto - enrollment.

  • Work with EPA to bring stable, cost-effective energy production back to Westchester, especially safe, clean nuclear energy.

PROTECT PARENTAL RIGHTS

November 2024, the citizens of NY State voted to add Proposition 1 to the NY Constitution, expanding “protected classes,” to include age. The loosely worded amendment could potentially give minors the right to puberty blockers and transgender surgeries without parental consent, and open the door to transgender males in female sports.

Codify Parents Rights statute that establishes parents as the adult decision makers for all matters involving their minor-aged children.

We do it for them
